Stampin Up and Waltzingmouse...

Esco un po' dal tunnel del marrone beige perché comincia a diventare un po' ossessivo...

Ho deciso di provare a vedere come rende il timbro di sfondo Waltzingmouse (che sarebbe di Natale) in altri contesti, e dato che oggi ho ricevuto un set di Stampin Up che mi sono aggiudicata in un'asta eBay ho mischiato un po' le cose.

Dopo aver stampato con il solito inchiostro bianco su metà del biglietto il timbro "norvegese" (Waltzingmouse "Secret Set") ho aggiunto un pannello ritagliato con le dime Spellbinders "Labels 1" sul quale ho stampato il bordo coordinato (Waltzingmouse "Labels 1").

Le dime Spellbinders mi sono sempre piaciute, ma devo dire che la cornicetta colorata aggiunge molto come rifinitura. Mi fa pensare a quegli embellishments per scrap carissimi... Tra l'altro ho l'impressione che - anche solo stampate su cartoncino o ritagliate a mano - queste cornici potrebbero essere delle belle journaling boxes su un LO.

Dopodiché ho centrato a occhio la scritta (Stampin Up "All Holidays") che avevo inchiostrato con inchiostri diversi per evidenziare parti dell'immagine ed ho aggiunto i fiorellini (Prima Flowers).

Patty2: che ti credi, io baro: tengo i timbri raccolti in set in bustine da CD, divisi per marca e tipologia e con l'indicazione del nome. Ho i cartoncini divisi per sfumatura con divisori con il nome e cartelline per i ritagli in base alla famiglia di colore (rossi, verdi, blu, marroni beige, viola...). Ti risparmio il resto per pietà.

E comunque si, per queste cose ho memoria, ma per il resto... lasciamo correre.



I take a break from the brown-beige compilation, I'm starting to feel uncomfortable without a bit of color!

Today I received a new Stampin Up set (I love eBay auctions...) and I decided to try the "Norwegian Star" stamp from Waltzingmouse "Secret Set" on a non-Christmas card. So I used it to cover half of the card base with my favorite white ink.

Then I added a panel cut and embossed with my "Label 1" Spellbinders dies on which I stamped the frame from Waltzingmouse "Labels 1" set.

I always loved the look of the labels cut and embossed with my Spellbinders, but I have to admit that a stamped frame gives them a more complete and defined look, that makes me think of those ready made (and very expensive) scrapbooking embellishments. What I especially love of this stamp set is the variety of decorations and looks that it gives to the same basic shape: modern, romantic, cute... I can't wait to see next Waltzingmouse release, I really hope to see more Nestie-Friendly sets!

I eyeballed the position of the Friend stamp (Stampin Up "All Holidays") that I inked in two different pigment inks. Prima Flowers and a red brad complete the card.

Chiudipacco alberello / Xmas Tree Mini Card

E avanti con i chiudipacco per Natale. In realtà più che un chiudipacco è una mini-card, dato che è di 9x9 cm.

Ho trovato una bella carta beige con le renne marroni che userò per tutti i regali, con fiocchi di nastro e organza panna e marrone scuro, quindi proseguo con questa combinazione di colori.

Ho usato di nuovo l'immagine di questo post, dal Secret Set di Waltzingmouse, ma stavolta ho ritagliato l'albero invece di lasciarlo nella sua forma "a goccia" (o a ferro da stiro... )

Ho alternato inchiostri marroni (Versafine Sepia) e bianchi (Papertrey "Fresh Snow Hybrid) su cartoncino naturale. E' difficile vederlo nella foto, ma se guardate bene lo sfondo, il timbro lungo (dal set Very Vintage Christmas di Waltzingmouse) è stampato una volta in marrone e le altre in bianco, per dare un po' di movimento e schiarire un po' il cartoncino.

Il fondo è un avanzo di Bazzill, uno dei tanti marroni, di cui non so il nome esatto. L'altro cartoncino marrone è una striscetta di cartoncino Bristol da poco, quello che ho preso in fogli grandi per fare le scatole segnaposto di Natale. Su questo ho usato una fustella da bordo della Ek Success che credo si chiami Wavy Border. Nastrino incollato con un glue dot.

Sono nel mio periodo "semplice"...


Another mini card that I'll use as a gift tag. I bought a very nice beige wrapping paper with brown reindeers that I'll use on all my gifts, so I'm going on with this color combo.

I used the same image in this post, but this time I cut out just the tree. It's a very nice image from Waltzingmouse "Secret Set", a set that I'm in love with...

The background is stamped with a border stamp (from Waltzingmouse "Very Vintage Christmas" set once in brown (Versafine Sepia), then in white (Papertrey Fresh Snow Hybrid ink) to lighten up and give some depth.

The base of the card is a scrap piece of Bazzill cardstock, and the darker brown strip is a leftover of a cheap cardstock I bought in large sheets to make these placecard boxes for our Christmas table. I decorated it with a punch from EK Success, Wavy Border.

Very simple, but lately I like everything simple!

FATACANTERINA: non è difficile comprare da Waltzingmouse: prova se ti viene più comodo così.

Se decidi di comprare un set dopo aver ingrandito l'immagine clicca sul pulsante in basso a destra, quello con la scritta "Add to cart". Ti troverai nel carrello della spesa, con il (o i...) set che hai scelto.

Arrivata a questo punto:

1. ti sembra già di sentir piangere il tuo conto corrente e ti ritiri in buon ordine.
2. decidi che in fondo il tuo conto ormai è grande e qualche lacrimuccia non può fargli troppo male. Quindi ti tappi le orecchie e clicchi su "Go to checkout" per pagare.
3. sei convinta che a dargli i vizi i conti correnti diventano insopportabili, così clicchi su "Continue shopping" e che si arrangi. E aggiungi altra roba.

Un servizio comodo è quello di conversione monetaria che trovi nel carrello. Infatti se clicchi su "Check price in another currency?" puoi inserire il totale del tuo carrello e convertire da sterline a euro per farti un'idea dell'esborso.

Finito di controllare il controvalore, appena sotto trovi il link "Return to your shopping cart", per tornare a torturare il conto corrente o dargli il colpo di grazia.

Le spese di spedizione le trovi QUI, scendi fino a che non trovi "Europe". Il carrello della spesa le calcola direttamente ma se vuoi farti un'idea per decidere a cuor leggero...

Snowflake Label

Come mi piace avere timbri coordinati con le Spellbinders!

Sto dando fondo alla mia scorta di cartoncino naturale Flora Noce, ma sono entrata nel loop e faccio un po' fatica ad uscirne: erano anni che non ne usavo!

Oggi (strano...) Waltzingmouse! Da quando ho ricevuto questi timbri mi si sono risvegliate le voglie creative. L'avrete notato, faccio quasi un post al giorno!

Per questo chiudipacco (un po' grande, ma dato che non faccio i biglietti per Natale i miei chiudipacco XL svolgono entrambe le funzioni...) ho usato il set "Labels 1", che guarda caso si adatta perfettamente alle dime Labels 1 di Spellbinders.

Il fiocco di neve viene dal set "Seasons of Love", e su entrambi i timbri ho usato polvere da embossing bianca. Dopo aver fuso la polverina ho acquerellato sul cartoncino un po' di Distress Ink "Frayed Burlap".

Il cerchio del fiocco di neve è ritagliato con un punch di Stampin Up, quello da 1,5".

Tutto montato con adesivo dimensionale su cartoncino "Always Artichoke" Stampin Up.

Credo sia tutto per oggi...


You can't imagine how much I love to have frame stamps that coordinates with my Spellbinders dies!

Another Waltzingmouse gift tag. I always make XL gift tags because I don't make Christmas cards, and in my tags I can write down my wishes and some thoughts.

I'm using a lot of Kraft cardstock, that's something I haven't done in ages, but since I got my first Waltzingmouse set I felt the urge to create, and it seems to me that these images give their best on this natural medium.

I used the "Labels 1" set for the frame, and the "Seasons of Love" for the snowflake. After stamping the images I used white embossing powder and then applied a watercolor wash to the inner part of the frame and of the snowflake.

I layered everything with dimensionals and added a light green rhinestone right in the center.

The tag is cut from Stampin Up "Always Artichoke" cardstock.

That's all, folks...

A Mondo piace il rosa...

A quanto pare, almeno a giudicare dal commento che ha lasciato nel post precedente.

Beh, il biglietto rosa non c'è più, l'ho consegnato e non posso riprovare a fotografarlo, quindi ho rifatto un biglietto con lo sfondo bianco/rosa su cartoncino naturale usando la stella norvegese di Waltzingmouse Stamps (dal Secret Set).

E' comunque difficile fotografare il rosa con una lampada a incandescenza. Questo ve lo posso confermare.

Posso anche dirvi che il bigliettino è molto più bello visto di persona, che in foto. I fiocchi di neve un po' incurvati spiccano tantissimo e i Dazzling Diamonds (glitter molto sottili e brillanti) brillano e scintillano. Fanno molto Natale, nonostante il rosa.

Il timbro principale viene sempre da un set Waltzingmouse Stamps (Seasons of Love). Gli ovali sono punzonati con i punches Stampin Up "Large Oval" e "Scallop Oval". Il pannellino rosa è ritagliato ed embossato con le Spellbinders "Labels 9". Dopo aver tagliato la forma più grande ho sistemato all'interno la stessa forma più piccola ed ho embossato tutto insieme. Fa una bella cornice multipla, vero?

In a comment Mondo wrote that the pink background I wasn't able to take photos of was probably great. I bet she loves pink... I don't have that card anymore, I already gave it away, so I made one more white and pink background using the Norwegian Star (that's the name 'I' call it) from a Waltzingmouse set (can you keep a Secret?).

This little notecard is much better in person, with the little snowflakes slightly bent and covered in Dazzling Diamonds. A lot like Christmas, tho Pink... ;-D

I die cut the pink panel using my Spellbinders "Labels 9". I cut out the large label, then added the smaller one in the center and embossed everything together. This gives a nice, large embossed frame to the piece.

Oggi ho pasticciato con i timbri Waltzingmouse, in particolare con uno che ricorda da vicino una stella di tipo norvegese, come quelle che si trovano sui maglioni jaquard.

Ho stampato sul cartoncino craft la stella in inchiostro bianco, poi ho ristampato la stessa immagine in azzurro negli spazi intermedi.

Ho così ricavato una carta di sfondo molto economica, che può essere personalizzata cambiando i colori utilizzati.

Il secondo biglietto, il cui sfondo è fatto allo stesso modo, usa i colori bianco e beige. Le immagini principali vengono tutte dal Secret Set.

Qui ho aggiunto una cornice di forellini e il testo augurale in marrone. Avrei probabilmente dovuto tenere la scritta un po' più in alto, ma in origine avevo pensato di mettere l'alberello più centrale.

Ho fatto anche una prova con il rosa che è venuta benissimo, ma è praticamente impossibile fotografarla perché il rosa semplicemente scompare a causa della lampada inadatta che ho sulla scrivania...


Today I inked some of my new Waltzingmouse stamps, and I played with a large image that I wanted to use for my backgrounds.

It looks a lot like a Norwegian star, the ones that can be found on knitted jaquard sweaters.

Here I stamped it in white ink, then again in between with another ink. The first gift tag uses white and light blue, the second one white and sand beige dye ink.

I also made a white and pink version, but I wasn't able to take a photo of it with my tabletop light... the pink just desappears!

If you want to ask Santa to bring some of his North Pole brand images, ask Waltzingmouse, they know how to get in touch with him and his Elves! ;-D

Come ho precedentemente spiegato, di solito a Natale scelgo una combinazione di colori e faccio tutto coordinato.

In questo caso sono prove di chiudipacco, che ho fatto con i timbri che ho appena ricevuto da Waltzingmouse.

Sono timbri trasparenti veramente belli, spessi e resistenti, che prendono bene l'inchiostro e danno impronte nitide e perfette.

Inoltre - cosa che non guasta - si tratta di una ditta che ha sede in Irlanda, quindi la spedizione è competitiva, e la Dogana non ci mette becco...



As I explained before, every year for Christmas I choose a color combo and then I make everything coordinate. Another thing I choose is the style of the images, that I try to keep in every project.

This year I chose craft and brown for the colors, and for the style my new Waltzingmouse Christmas stamps. I really love these stamps because they're nice and thick, they take the ink very well and always give a clean, perfect image.

Next step will be to try some stamped wrapping paper. Can you guess the colors? LOL
